The J’s Preschool Soccer Program provides a safe and fun environment for children to become engaged with the sport of soccer in an age-appropriate setting. Participants will be introduced to the basic skills and rules of soccer through fun games and drills led by J staff coaches. The program is held on Sundays only. Teammate requests are accepted!
3/4-Year-Old - Parent and Child Soccer
Participants will focus on the basic skills through soccer themed activities. Game play will not be introduced during these sessions. Parent involvement is required during the entire session.
A T-shirt will be provided to all participants new to the 3/4 Blast program, and everyone will receive an award at the end of the season.
Date/Times: September 7 – October 12 – 9:00-9:30am OR 9:40-10:10am OR 10:20-10:50am (choose your own time)
4/5-Year-Old
Participants will focus on basic skills and drills, with game play being introduced.
A reversible jersey will be provided to participants new to the Blast 4/5 program, and everyone will receive an award at the end of the season.
Players from previous seasons will use their same jersey, unless they are moving up from 3/4 to 4/5.
Date/ Times: September 7 – October 12 – 11:00-11:40am OR 11:50-12:30pm OR 12:40-1:20pm (Schedule will rotate weekly)

The J's Kindergarten/1st Grade First Touch Soccer program is our next step in introducing the game of soccer to kids at a young age. This will include learning the basic skills and introducing the basic rules/concepts of the game. The program will be 5 weeks of practice, followed by 3 game nights. All practices and games are led by J staff coaches. A post season award and jersey will be included. Teammate requests are accepted!

▪ Practices/games are on Tuesday nights in the indoor turf field (no weather concerns!) at The J and will be led by our staff coaches.
▪ Rosters and schedules will be sent out shortly after the close of registration. Game night schedule will differ slightly from the practice schedule. The program will be 5 weeks of practice, followed by 3 game nights.
▪ Players from previous seasons will use their same jersey, unless the jersey is too small.
▪ First graders may choose from the First Touch and Strikers programs (see below)

The J's Striker soccer program focuses on working to improve both technical (individual) and tactical (team) soccer skills, and knowledge of the game. Strikers soccer is not defined as recreational or premier, but rather a combination of the two, so players hoping to eventually go competitive, or those playing just for fun both have the tools they need to succeed.
We form teams that are coached by our staff and are entered into local leagues (No tryout necessary). All practice sessions are located The J. Games will take place on weekends at community soccer fields. Staff coaches, league fee, jersey and an award included. Players from previous seasons will use their same jerseys unless the jersey is too small. Teammate requests are accepted!

**Games for all age divisions will be scheduled on Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. Shabbat observance will be respected when assigning game times.

Fall Soccer Skills Clinics (1st-6th Graders) |
The J's Striker soccer program is offering a Skills Development Clinic and a Goalkeeper Clinic this Fall.
Soccer Skills Development Clinic (1st-6th Grade)
▪ J staff coaches will guide players through a series of drills to improve fundamental soccer skills, technique and build confidence on the field. The Skills Development Clinic is available to J Striker program participants as an add-on for those players that are looking for more than just the 1 day a week practices. The clinic is also available for those outside of the program who are looking for a weekly soccer skills clinic. The clinic will be divided up age appropriately.
▪ The clinic will be on Wednesday evenings beginning August 27 - October 22nd (8 weeks)
Goalkeeper Clinic (1st-6th Grade)
▪ This clinic is designed for goalkeepers who are looking to take their goalkeeping to the next level! The clinic will be divided up age appropriately.
▪ The clinic will be on Thursday evenings beginning August 28 - October 23 (8 weeks)
▪ This clinic will focus on the fundamental techniques needed to excel between the posts. Skills that we will be taught include: diving and shot-stopping, footwork and positioning, handling and catching, distribution and decision making.
▪ Goalkeeper gloves, shin guards and sneakers/turf shoes are required.
Clinic Add on Fees: $65 per clinic for participants in the Strikers program / $105.00 for J members / $155.00 for outside participants
