Introducing The FAST Jump Start Program


The F.A.S.T Jump Start Program will work to build a young athlete’s physical foundation and improve coordination and self-esteem. Our speed and strength training methods are serious, but all within a fun and friendly environment to ensure the young athlete is engaged and motivated to give 100%.

Our coaches will motivate and challenge the young athlete, while providing age-level safe and appropriate training techniques and corrections that set a foundation for good life-time habits.

F.A.S.T Jump Start is a must for any young person who wants to develop foundational athletic skills that will help them rise above their competition.
The F.A.S.T Jump Start Program will aim to enhance:

  • Coordination
  • Running Technique
  • Body Weight Strength
  • First Step Quickness
  • Flexibility
  • Injury Prevention
  • Self Confidence

 

Session 1 Dates:  November 1 - December 16 (no classes 11/24 or 11/25)
Session 2 Dates: January 10 - February 24

4th and 5th Graders Mondays and Wednesdays  4:30-5:20 pm

6th - 8th Graders  Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30-5:20 pm


Limited to 12 participants per age group

Location:  The J's Indoor Turf Space


Fees: $270; $180 with J member discount

Staff

Coach Ruiz - Jose Ruiz played baseball at Avila University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science.  He went on to complete a Master’s degree in Physical Education, Sport and Exercise Science from the University of Central Missouri. He has experience coaching high school baseball and working with various athletes of different ages.  He is a Parisi Speed School 2021 Mentorship Program attendee and a nationally certified personal trainer through American Council on Exercise since 2008.

Coach Myers - Matthew Myers played football and ran track throughout high school and played semi pro football after high school. He received his Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Texas State University with a minor in Biology. He is a nationally certified personal trainer through International Sports Sciences Association, and currently working as Elementary Physical Education instructor with Kansas City Public Schools.

Coach Mo - Mo Baldeh has a Bachelor’s degree from the University Of Central Missouri, and played collegiate and semi-pro soccer while also coaching various levels of soccer athletes.  He is a nationally certified personal trainer through the International Sports Sciences Association and currently working on more certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.

Coach Matt - Matt Hartman has a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Wichita State University.  He has been around baseball, football and basketball as an umpire/referee and coach at the Little League, Junior college and D2 levels for over 14 years.  He also completed an internship at KC Speed & Sport, and was a Wichita Parisi Speed School Coach from 2017-2019.
