| General Season Information |
The J is excited for another year of the Girls Softball in 2026. For the 2026 season, official team practices will begin the week of March 22 with games starting as early as April 10. Regular season games may be played through July 2nd at the latest. Post season tournaments for 3rd/4th grade divisions and older teams will take place of July 7-12. These tournaments are included in the league fee, but participation is optional. While most league games will take place at the Jewish Community Center in Overland Park, practice fields will be at Shawnee Mission schools and Overland Park city fields. Individual teams may secure their own practice fields elsewhere. League provided practice fields are allocated through an online, first come first serve selection process.
For more information or questions, you can contact Ben Heger at 913-399-3045 or [email protected].
Registration for the 2026 season opens December 3, 2025. All players register individually. However, head coaches can register a team, and the system will generate a team code for them to share with their players. This code should be used during registration to join the team. Those without a specific coach may register as a "free agent" if they would like to be placed onto a team. Teammate requests are accepted.
All registration takes place through the league website www.jsportskc.com.
