Kindergarten / 1st Grade & 4–5-Year-Old Divisions

Perfect for First-Time Players!

Our Introductory Flag Football Program teaches the core fundamentals: catching, passing, flag pulling, and team strategies. As the season progresses, players will experience real game-like scenarios to help ease them into competitive play.

 K–1st Grade Program (Choose Intro or League – 1st Grade Only)

• Ages: Kindergarten & 1st Grade
• Schedule: Monday evenings,5:30 PM
• Season: March 23 – April 27
  • Final Game Day: May 3 at Shawnee Mission South
• Location: Indian Woods Middle School
• Cost: $140 / $100 for J Members
• Late Registration Fee: +$20 starting Feb 16 

📌 Note: 1st graders can choose between this introductory program and the league program below.

 4–5 Year Old Division

Introduce your little athlete to the game in a fun, non-contact format that builds coordination, sportsmanship, and a love of the game!

Session 1

• Schedule: Wednesdays, March 24 – April 28
• Time Slots: 5:30 PM or 6:15 PM
• Location: J’s Indoor Turf
• Cost: $140 / $100 for J Members
• Late Registration Fee: +$20 starting Feb 16

 Session 2

• Schedule: Wednesdays, May 6 – June10
• No class October 2
• Time Slots: 5:30 PM or 6:15 PM
• Location: J’s Indoor Turf
• Cost: $140 / $100 for J Members
• Late Registration Fee: +$20 starting Feb 16

 League Play: 1st–8th Grade Flag Football

Take the field with full team play, weekly games, and end-of-season playoffs. This is where the action heats up and the skills come alive!

• Weekly Practices Begin: Week of March 15 
• Game Days: Sundays, March 29  – May 10
• Playoffs: May 17 
  
• Each team coached by a volunteer parent coach
• Individual Registration Required (team requests welcome!)
• Coordinated game times with other J programs

Divisions by Grade:

• 1st – 3rd Grade: 5v5 format
• 4th – 8th Grade: 6v6 format

Each child receives a brand new flag belt. Mouthguards are required and must be supplied by the family.
