Mini’s and Junior’s Soccer

A fun, age-appropriate introduction to soccer for young players, built around movement, confidence, skill development, and positive early experiences with the game.

Our youngest soccer programs are designed to help children learn through play in a supportive indoor environment. Mini’s introduces children to the earliest concepts of organized sports and group participation, while Junior’s serves as the natural next developmental step toward greater independence and coach interaction. Sessions are simple, active, and developmentally appropriate, giving players a strong first step into the sport.

FAQ

What does my registration include?

Your registration includes the programming, staff coaching, and all equipment needed during the sessions.

What is the difference between Mini’s and Junior’s?

Mini’s is designed for our youngest players who are often experiencing organized sports, coach interaction, group listening, and shared social play for the very first time. At this age, the goal is movement, comfort, confidence, smiles, and helping children begin to participate within a fun group setting.

Because of that, a parent or guardian is required to participate on the field during Mini’s classes to help their child stay engaged, feel secure, and enjoy the experience.

Junior’s serves as the natural next step in the player journey. Players are typically ready for longer activities, more repetition, greater coach interaction, and increased independence. Parents are not required to participate on the field during Junior’s, but we do ask that families remain nearby and assist coaches if child needs help re-engaging or if we need help transitioning from one activity to another.

Where do classes take place?

Classes are conducted indoors at The J FSA Turf Field.

What are the coach to player ratios?

Classes are typically staffed at a ratio of 2 coaches to 8 players.

Is there a waitlist for sold out classes?

Classes waitlist after 12 registrations. Those who sign up for the waitlist will be notified of any openings prior to the program beginning based on availability.

Are your coaches licensed and Safe Soccer cleared?

Yes. Staff coaches are required to pass a background check and complete required safety education. Coaches also receive training and support to deliver age-appropriate soccer programming.

Can my child be in the same class as a friend?

Each child will be placed in the class they are registered for. We cannot guarantee that a child will be placed in the same class as a friend or family member.

Does my child need cleats or shin guards?

Cleats are optional and not required for Mini’s and Junior’s. Shin guards are optional for Mini’s. Shin guards with socks fully covering them are required for Junior’s.

Do we need to bring soccer equipment?

The J provides all necessary soccer equipment, including soccer balls. Players should wear comfortable clothes and bring water.

Start Here. Grow Here. Compete Here.
