Junior Spikers Volleyball for 1st and 2nd Graders

Sunday afternoons, September 7 - October 26

The J’s Junior Spikers volleyball program provides a safe and fun environment for children to become engaged with the sport of volleyball in an age-appropriate setting.  J staff coaches will introduce participants to the basic skills and rules of volleyball through fun games and drills. Introduction of game play and rotations will be included toward the end of the program in order to prep participants for leagues at the next level . This program will take place on scaled-down volleyball court and net, as well as utilize a ball that is lighter and larger in order to assist players in their introduction to the sport. A jersey and an award will be included. Players from previous seasons will use their same jersey for the Fall season.

$140/$95 with J membership

Instructional VOLLEYBALL LEAGUE For 3rd - 4th Graders

August 25 - October 26

Develop your volleyball skills in the instructional volleyball league for entering 3rd and 4th grade girls and boys. The J provides experienced staff coaches to lead both practices and games as well as age-appropriate equipment. Included are weekday practices and 7 Sunday afternoon games - all at The J. This program will be capped at 8 teams with up to 10-12 girls per team. Teammate requests are accepted. Players from previous seasons will use their same jersey for the Fall season.

3rd/4th Grade Practices - Monday OR Tuesday Nights
Teams will be assigned to practices during one of the following time slots

5:30 - 6:30

6:30 - 7:30
There will be no practice Sept.1, Sept 22 and Oct 6

Tuesday
5:30 - 6:30
OR
6:30 - 7:30
There will be no practice Sept 23 and Oct 7

Games will be played on Sunday afternoons
Sept. 14, 21, 28
Oct.5, 12, 19, 26
