Future's Soccer (Kindergarten)

A development-first soccer program for Kindergarten players who are ready to learn the game, build confidence, and experience simple game play in a positive environment.

Kindergarten Soccer is the bridge between early childhood soccer classes and our older recreational league experience. Players continue building comfort on the ball while also learning how to play with teammates, make decisions, understand space, and enjoy game-like moments in a supportive setting.

How the program works

This six-week program is built specifically for Kindergarten players. The first four weeks focus on guided practice sessions where players learn through fun activities, ball work, movement, and small-sided games. The final two weeks shift into simple game play so players can apply what they have learned in a low-pressure environment.

Coaches stay active throughout the experience, helping players understand spacing, decision making, teamwork, and the basic flow of the game.

Weeks 1 to 4: Practice Skill development, confidence building, ball mastery, movement, teamwork, and guided small-sided play.
Weeks 5 to 6: Games Simple game play focused on learning, participation, equal opportunity, and positive competition.

FAQ

Is this program for Kindergarten and 1st Grade?

No. This program is now for Kindergarten players only. First grade players should register for the appropriate recreational league or next-step program when available.

What does my registration include?

Your registration includes the full six-week program, staff coaching, and all equipment needed during the sessions.

Where does the program take place?

Classes are conducted indoors at The J FSA Turf Field.

What will players learn?

Players will work on dribbling, changing direction, ball control, passing, shooting, teamwork, listening, decision making, and basic game understanding. The emphasis is on learning through activity, repetition, and positive coaching.

How do the game weeks work?

The final two weeks introduce simple game play. Games are meant to help players apply what they have learned, not create a high-pressure competitive environment. Coaches will guide players, encourage decisions, and keep the experience positive and organized.

Are standings or scores kept?

No. This is a development-first program. The focus is participation, learning, confidence, and enjoyment.

Does my child need cleats or shin guards?

Shin guards with socks fully covering them are required. Cleats are recommended but not required on the indoor turf field.

Do we need to bring soccer equipment?

The J provides all necessary soccer equipment, including soccer balls. Players should wear comfortable clothes and bring water.

Is there a waitlist for sold out classes?

Yes. You can sign up for the waitlist for your specific session. If a spot opens before the program begins, we will contact families based on availability.
